Police ID Ex-Boyfriend Dead By Suicide After Hours-Long Standoff With GF In Severn

Police have identified the 59-year-old suspect who died by suicide in an hours-long standoff in Anne Arundel County over the weekend.

Officers responded to the 1800 block of Blue Jay Court in Severn around 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, after a woman called police saying her ex-boyfriend, Kenneth Saulsbury, had shot her and he was still inside the home, county police said.

After attempts to contact Saulsbury failed, officers went into the home and found the him dead, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The 55-year-old female victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
